A name, a date or a phrase can make a piece feel unmistakably your own. At intuit geometrics, engraving is complimentary and optional on eligible designs, with up to 15 characters. Leaving the field empty is also a complete choice. This guide offers ways to think about a short message without suggesting that every piece, font or placement is available.
Begin with what you want to remember
Initials can be quiet and private. A date may mark a meeting, a new chapter or an anniversary. A short phrase can be a reminder known only to the person wearing it. There is no need to fill every available character. If several possibilities feel right, write them down and read them again without the jewelry in view. The words should still mean something on their own.
Count every character
The limit is 15 characters. Spaces between words and punctuation count, while leading and trailing spaces are removed from the submitted text. These are counting examples, not a menu of guaranteed symbols or engraving styles:
- A L — 3 characters: two letters and one space.
- MY STORY — 8 characters: seven letters and one space.
- 10.26.2026 — 10 characters: eight digits and two periods.
- FOREVER WITH ME — 15 characters: thirteen letters and two spaces.
The date with periods is a length illustration only. Accepted characters and final appearance depend on the eligible design and confirmed production options. We do not present a font selector, symbol menu or exterior placement choice unless the relevant product offers one.
Make the choice on the product page
Start with a piece you love. Its product page shows the metal, color, stone and size choices actually offered. If the page offers engraving, enter your text there or leave it blank. The input counts remaining characters as you type. Review spelling and spacing carefully: a few characters can carry a great deal of meaning, and a small typo can change them.
After adding an eligible piece to the bag, check that the selected configuration and engraving text appear together. The engraving is optional and free; it does not add a separate fee.
